Hey Folks, It's that time of year again for the Peter Larmand Outdoors 4th Annual Kid's Charity Tournament for CHEO. The event is once again being held out of Rideau Ferry Harbour Marina in beautiful Rideau Ferry on May 1st. Event will be starting at 10:00 am and running until 2:00 pm. Prizes for the kids and refreshments will be available. $10 per kid or $25 for a family of 3. All proceeds go to CHEO. So far we have raised over $1000 for the hospital. Check out the website for pictures from previous years. www.peterlarmand.com/outdoors/childrens-charityThis year is shaping up to be the best event ever. If you plan on attending, please send me an e-mail or reply to this post so we have an idea of how many kids will be attending. I hope to see lots of kids out there. Pete Attachments:

Hey Jeremy, I'm really glad to hear that he is still excited. I have to say, thanks for this little note because I'm starting to wonder if all of this work is worth it. But reading things like this makes it all worth the effort. I can't wait to see the you and the boys next Saturday. Take care! Pete

Hey Folks, Another event is done and in the books. I would like to thank every one that has been with us from the very beginning and has helped us grow this event into what I am hoping will be one of the highlights for the kids every year. I also want to thank all of the new sponsors that have climbed on board with us this year to help us achieve our goal. Our goal to bring awareness to kids that there is more than T.V, Xbox and the Internet. To pass on our passion for fishing and the great outdoors and all that it has to offer. This year we had a goal of raising $500 and to have 20-25 kids attend the event. Well, this year we didn’t expect to get the results that we did. We raised $700 for CHEO and there were 41 kids that participated. We had anglers as young as 2 years old and anglers as old as 17. We broke up the kids into age groups with the ages 8-12 being the largest group with 21. The smile on their faces watching them catch the fish and receiving their prizes is priceless. Group 4 and under winner Nick caught 31 fish 5-7 age group winner Lyla caught 58 fish 8-12 age group winner Tim caught 125 fish (most of the event) 13 and up group winner Jordon caught 49 fish. The kids fished for a little over 3 ½ hours with a quick hot dog lunch at noon. It didn’t take long for them to eat their food and head back out on the docks for more fishing action. I will have more pictures on my website www.peterlarmand.com just look under the Kids Charity section. In closing I would just like to say thank you again to every one of the volunteers, sponsors, parents and most importantly the kids for making the 4th Annual Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Charity Fishing Tournament for CHEO a huge success. Lord willing we will see everyone again next year. Regards, Pete
