Was out on White Lake yesterday and had a phenomenal day! It was hot, dead calm, sunny for most of the day, but we still slayed 'em.
We were catching bass one after the other on senko type baits. They seemed to prefer them rigged Texas style, as opposed to wacky, and any colour seemed to work. The bigger ones, though, seemed to prefer black and blue colour schemes. We caught them on crankbaits as well, using perch coloured Series 100 Bandits.
The sky clouded up towards the end of the day and, strangely enough, that's when the bite slowed down. They were just hitting it in the sunny, calm heat of the day but not so much in the cooler, darker evening. That kind of goes against conventional wisdom, but what the heck!
If you have some kids or "non-fishing" relatives you want to take out, bring them to White Lake. You'll keep them entertained catching bass all day on the mindless Senko, and look brilliant doing it. ;D

Hey Gary, Sounds like you had a good time on White Lake. There is no question that it sure has enough 1lbs to 2 lbs bass. They should have a tournament on there to see who can catch the smallest legal size bass. The winner is the one with the lowest weight. Good report Gary. Pete

Yeah, there is a lot of "clones" as you once put it. Big ones are still there though, but I think a little harvesting needs to done on that body of water. Everytime I go there, I keep a few smaller ones for the frying pan.
