Start you engines!! Yesterday was the first part of qualifing for the Daytona 500 this coming Sunday. Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon qualified on the front row. They will determine the rest of the field with the Gatorade 125's. I believe that takes place this Thursday. Let's go JR.!!! Pete

I've never been a big fan of Jimmy Johnson, but now I've lost any respect I might have had for his team. I believe it's three times, now, that Chad Knaus has been suspended for cheating...I can't respect that. What amazes me is that NASCAR doesn't just say, ok...you're done. There are plenty of talented individuals who could take Chad Knaus' place, and would gladly do it for less money. I get kind of tired of ALL professional sports giving idiots, cheaters, and losers so many chances just because they can play the game when there are so many just as talented aching for a chance.

NASCAR just announced that they are extending the suspension of crew chief of the #48 Lowes Chad Knaus for another 3 races. I really hope that they ban him from the sport for a year. As you mentioned Gary, this is his 4th straight year that he has been caught cheating. I understand that crew chiefs are always looking for ways to make their car go faster and some times they get away with it but for some reason Knaus is not very good at it. Make you wonder how many times he has cheated and not been caught. I know that if I was Lowes Home Improvement (Title sponsor of the car) that I would be looking at pulling out of that contract agreeement. Just my opinion. Pete
