Hey Folks, The first elite series event of the year is underway on Lake Amistead in Texas. The leader is sitting with 53 lbs and the top 6 anglers all have over 50 lbs. This is quite the fishery that's for sure. Some of the anglers are saying that the record for a 4 day event of 115+ lbs might be broken this weekend. It will be interesting to see. Check it out at sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/elite/news/story?id=2793517I can't wait for the soft water to arrive. With this warming weather it won't be long. Pete

Hey Folks, It looks like there is a strong possibility that the record weight for a 4 day will fall this weekend. After 3 days the leader has 80 pounds. all he needs to bring in is a 36lbs bag and he will have the record. Impossible you say Well, there have been 2 36+ lbs bags brought in so far and one of them was at yesterday's weigh in. This lake is an amazing fishery. Pete
