How many of you anglers ever use a carolina rig while prefishing?
Some guys use this technique so that they can cover a lot of water quickly as well as get an idea of the bottom composition on a particular location.
As of this day a Carolina Rig is not in my aresenal of techiques for bass fishing

Pete To answer your question, Yes i do if I'm on large weed flats and trying to get a bead on were the fish are. I find the carolina rig great for covering large area's in a hurry. Jeremy

I try it from time to time but don't have confidence in it. Tried it at a spot where I normally catch good quantities of bass and did not do well. Went back to my normal ways and caught fish. I watch the old Bassmasters shows on tape and see them doing really well in shallow and deeper water with the Carolina rigs and that get's me wanting to try again.

I have spoken to people that use Carolina rigs almost to a fault (all the time) and they have had some really good success with them. I know that this year, I will be throwing it during prefish situations and anytime that I might be on the water just to learn how to fish this technique properly. I believe that there's more to it than just throwing it out there and reeling it back in. Let's have the conversation same time next year and see if it has paid off or not. Pete
