Stephen, For me it's the adrenaline. Sitting in the boat in the morning with the dew/fog coming off the water, the sun coming up, the waters calm, all the other anglers sitting in their boats for in anticipation for your number to be called so that you can go and do something that you love...fish. This is my drug. The commrodery of the other anglers. The competition with the fish. We are not competing against other anglers, you are competing against the fish. If you can figure out where the fish are and make them bite (especially the bigger ones) perhaps the reward at the end of the day will be a bonus. To me that is why I fish tournaments. Pete I am already looking forward to next season.

Ditto on what Pete said. The best part of it all is first thing in the morning, waiting for take-off...the aniticipation, phsycing yourself up, the calm before the storm.
Another reason I fish tournaments...to qualify for the big show so I can do it full time, because I love it.
