Hi all,
Can anybody recommend some good shore fishing sites for catfish (bullheads) in the Ottawa area? I'm looking for some spots where you can haul 'em in one after the other.
Also, can anyone recommend any good spots accessible by boat on the St. Lawrence for carp fishing? I've fished from the shore for carp but would like to try from the boat this year.
Thanks.
Gary

Hey Gary, If you launch at Morrisburg fish any of the back bays east there are tonnes of Carp! I hunt them in this area watch for them under the tree and in the shadows some real big fish! My personall best is 46lbs, I shot it with a Bow Sorry I enter a tournament were we hunt for them. I normally only shoot one and someone always asks for it to eat. This year I plan to fish for them in these same area's, learned how to make boilies this year looking forward to fishing with them. Maybe we can get out? For catfish go east of Ottawa there is a creek called Green's Creek(On the Ottawa) they should be biting soon ? Also Petrie Island uses to produce for me years ago check with the bait shop that is there this area also gives me some huge crappies? Have fun, Jeremy

Thanks for the tips Jeremy. I'd love to get out for carp. I love catching those babies, what a great fight. I've always wanted to try hunting them with a bow as well, although I think I definitely need more work with a bow before I give it a try. When's the best time to get out for carp? Are they pretty much in those spots you mentioned all summer? Gary
