Hey Folks, For those that run tournament clubs, series etc. This might be something of interest to you. Lake & Trail Renegade Bass Tour Announces NEW WET-WEIGH SYSTEM from SHIMANO. In a continued effort towards excellence in environmental stewardship and through cooperation with Shimano Canada Lake &Trail Renegade Bass is proud to announce the implementation of the Shimano Water Weigh-In System. This revolutionary method developed in conjunction with Queen's University enables the fish to remain in water throughout the weigh-in procedures. Recently an Aqua Innovations electric oxygen generator was installed on the Renegade - Shimano Live Release Boat. These combined technologies will improve the physiological condition and fish survivorship in the practice of Live Release Fishing. I believe this is the same system that is used by CFT Series as well. It will be interesting to see how it works. Pete

This system is excellent. I saw it in action at the CFT Classis this past fall, and they do use it for all their tournaments I believe. In fact, the new FLW Series is giving the weigh-in system a try, and even mentioned that it comes from the CFT in Canada. They're using it on the final days of their tournaments, after the cut, as they have yet to find a way to manage it with a full two hundred anglers. They've even taken it a step further and have put the fish in boxes that are see-through, so the fans can see what's being weighed in. It's all a step in the right direction for preserving our sport and our resources.
