WOOHOO!!!! Now I get to buy stuff for the boat! ;D There are Lowrance LMS-332c units on the boat I'm purchasing and I'm looking to get some GPS maps for them. I understand that Navionics makes a chip with Canadian lakes on it, as well as all chips with all the US stuff I need, but I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on who makes the best electronic maps. Navionics? Hotmaps Elite? Whoever... I'm looking for detailed contour maps for navigation as well as lake information, etc. Thanks for any input. Gary

Hey Gary, I have the Navionics card on my Lowrance LCX-17M It's pretty good. I can't comment about the others because I have seen them on any units. However, I have gone to their respective websites and the hotspots Elite is something that I am going to look into a little closer. It looks like they have a really nice card for the Eastern portion of the US. Sorry I can't be any more helpful. Pete

Pete,
Does that Navionics card have full map info on our local lakes around Ottawa? Does it have anything like marked fishing spots, ramps, marinas, etc.?

Gary, I can't say that I've used them for our local lakes. So I can't answer that question. Pete
