Hi Everyone, The other day I was going over this past season's results from the various tournament series/events in the Ottawa Valley area. By this I mean Renegade, Bass Anglers Association, South Eastern Bass Opens etc. From all of the results that I have seen it appears that most of the top 5 finishers have been anglers from backwater bass or the former backwater bass. I'm just wondering if anyone else has made this same observation?? If so, what is it with the anglers from this club that make them so dominating?? Pete

Hey Pete! Happy new year and all the rest. The answer to that question is they are all valley boys, they grew up on these lakes. They all use one bait as there go to bait and you know what that is even though you don't really like it. What do you want for your boat? I'm in the market for a new to me boat. Talk to you when you get back from your trip.

Hey Andy, I know the bait that you are talking about. To be honest with you, it's the bait that caught me that 4.90 lbs largemouth on day 1 of the classic last year. If that is one of the major reasons, then I will keep all those bags of that particular bait for myself. As for the boat, asking $23,000 but for you buddy $25,000. I don't want you getting to that dock before me We can talk. Pete

Hey Pete, your observations are bang on, it's funny I was talking about that very subject with a guy, at the Centennial Restaurant in Pakenham, I was there having breakfast with Bob Garneau this guy was from Backwater and he confirmed exactly what you said about where guys from Backwater were finishing in other tournies.Would be great to get a few more like what's his face oh ya Andy ;D ;D. Another interesting point is that Backwater Bass is er was set up very much like BAA low entry fees, friendly but serious fisherman. As I said would be nice to have a few of them show up at our meeting. Tony aka Grumpy
