Hey All!! Now I know that we all practice catch and release and that's great however, I'm pretty sure that some of us also like to eat the odd ones that we catch. What is your favourite recipe for your catch?? Mine is pretty simple. I get a large mixing bowl and I'll fill it with milk. I then slice up some onions and garlic. Lots of both. Add fresh ground pepper and then add my fillets. Cover the bowl and let it sit in the fridge over night (preferably) Next day, crush some rice krispies in a large freezer back. Take my fillets out of the milk and dip them into some flour them coat them with the rice krispies. Then gently put them into a pan of hot oil. Let cook until golden and them remove. I use this mostly with crappie and walleye. That is my favourite recipe. What's your?? Pete P.S. I'm hungry again.

Hey Pete, Hard to pick a favorite recipe Tony and I have one that both of us like so I'll leave it for him to tell everyone about and share one I do a lot in the summer when Bass season starts. I fillet a couple of 2lb smallmouth and leave the skin on, then out to the barbacue I go, get her good and hot put fillets on the BBQ skin side down brush on a little garlic lemon and ginger and some taragon. Close the lid 3 minutes later lift them off the grill and enjoy. This recipe works great on all species of fish, Trout , crappie ,Pumpkinseed, perch, whitefish sturgeon, carp just to name a few I like to eat This is making me hungry, bye for now Jeremy

Used to cast out a line in the evening and reeled it in in the morning. At black lake. There was a always a bullhead on the line and we harvested when the water was cold. Don't know the recipe but it was really spicy, and I think a cajun spice was used. They tasted surprisingly well. Next spring i'm gonna try cooking the ENORMOUS bluegill that spawn beside my cottage, and I have to try crappie after hearing so much about it. Pete's your recipe sounds amazing!!

Hey Grumpy, Can't wait to hear your carp recipe, my father in law is from Europe and they just love there carp. I shoot yeh I shoot them with the bow and arrow. He likes a smaller carp say 10 to 20 lbs for his recipe. I use them also and enjoy a feed of carp once in a while. He has a little cold water creek that flows right behind his house and the carp run up it every year average size is about 12lbs. Jeremy
