Hey Everyone, Here is a question that someone asked me once and I just wondering what you all thought about it. The question is: What do you look for when buying tackle??? Is it the price, the name, or even the place that is selling it. Just thought it would be interesting to see the answers. Pete

I look for things that do what I want them to do. Specific colours, sizes, etc. As far as brands, I have certain brands that I have confidence in so I stick with them.

For stores I only buy things from "real" fishing shops. I pick up the odd thing at crappy tire...but for things such as flies, rods and "formerly" plastics it is neccessary to stick to specialized fishing shops. At canadian tire the plastics have often been there forever....they become dry and scentless after a while "gulp"
And for flyline, reel and rod I would never consider buying one from ct again....
