Hey Folks, Last and final stop of the BASS Northern Opens hits the infamous Lake Erie. We are fishing out of Sandusky Ohio. Having spent a couple days on the water, Lake Erie isn't living up to all the hype. Talking with a lot of othe anglers and some of the Elite Series Pros like Kevin Short, Bill Lowen the smallies are not co operating as of right now. The lake is all murky and the bass are just not willing to bite. Let's hope that tomorrow and Thursday, day 1 of the of the 3 day event proves to be better. Pete

Hey Folks, Back from Ohio and Lake Erie. Had a pretty decent tournament. Sitting 26th after day 1 with 12 lbs 1 oz of browns (smallies). Day 2 partner is fishing for greens (largies) smaller weights will be expected. Day 2 got canceled because of high winds and 10 foot waves on Erie so instead of the top 30 fishing on day 3 the whole field got to fish. Day 3 was still rough but not too bad 4 to 5 footers in the morning. Went for greens and brought in 4 fish for 8 lbs 15 oz for a total of 21 lbs for 2 days. Go enough for 18th place. Brought home a cheque and some good memories of my first time on Lake Erie. Finished the season 58th out of 251 anglers overall. Pretty pleased with that. Looking forward to next season where I hope to fish on the Pro side instead of the co-angler side. I want to thank all of my family and friends for there support this year. As well as my sponsors. Check out the main page at www.peterlarmand.com for lilnks to their sites. Pete P.S Let's get out for some fun fish now.

Hey Jeremy, Thanks. As for my goals this year, yes I met most of them but not all of them. - to try and get a pay cheque in all events (top 50)
- to make the cut in at least 1 event (top 30)
- to learn these new bodies of water
- learn new techniques
- make some contacts while down there
- win an event (other wise why bother getting into them)
Of all these goals I achieved all but 2. cash a cheque in all events and win an event I learn drop shotting in 30ft of water on Erie, Running in rough water, made lots of contacts and learned a lot more about the business side of fishing. My goals for next year are pretty much the same but I will add 1 more and that is to finish in the top 10 overall in the standings. I'm not sure if I'm fishing the SEBO. Pete
