Yes, that is indeed some large water. Let's hope that you can find the mother load in the creek you launch in so you don't have to travel on the main bay to another creek. The fishing can be real good down there though.
Good luck to all of you fishing tournaments this year, and the same for those fishing for fun.
Cheers!

Hey Gary, I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't fished that body of water before, so it will be interesting that's for sure. Pete

Shannon lives only about 70 miles from there and I've been meaning to get up there and start getting familiar with the area. It's supposed to be quite good for largemouth fishing up there. I haven't had a chance yet so I unfortunately can't give any tips...but I plan to start fishing the area this summer. You'll have to let me know if you find any interesting stuff up there to try out.
I was also planning to go to the weigh-in for the Open on that weekend and say gidday to you and Charles Sim, but it turns out I'll have to be in Ottawa then.

Hi Pete:
Hope you and your family are well these days. I noticed that your kids derby is on the 2nd of May. Is it the same place and format as last year? We had a great time and look forward to being there again. I'll certainly pass the word around. Take it easy, Pete.

Hey Gary, I will for sure let you know how the fishing is. I am really looking forward to it. I'm sure that it fishes a lot like the Potomac. Pete

Hey Steve, The family is doing well. I hope that the Cox family wintered well. Are you looking forward to the B1?? Did you hear that pre fishing is now open the Monday before the tournament?? Good news. As for the kids tournament, I am finalizing the details as we speak. The format will be somewhat the same. The entry fees will be the same although the Cox family has always gone far and beyond for us at this event. Keep checking the website www.peterlarmand.com/outdoors/childrens-charity and I will post/update it as everything gets finalized. We are looking forward to seeing the Cox family there again this year. Take care, Pete

Hey Pete: Should be a good time...as for prefishing the B1, I don't know how probable that will be for me. It's nice that they opened the water a few days earlier. Maybe I'll tell my students I'm away at a professional development workshop...that's close to the truth . Andy might have to be the one to do any actual prefishing, though we hope to get down there to scout things out well ahead of time --without doing any fishing, naturally. I'm just there to carry equipment and to net fish anyway. I'm chomping at the bit...can't wait to get fishing again, let me tell you. Good luck in your tournament down south. I'm sure you'll have a story or two to tell about that event. All the best, Steve
