Well, looks like the new WFN Bass Tour isn't even going to get off the ground. They've canceled all their events except for the Canadian Open in July. It's too bad, but not altogether unexpected. I think we're a long way from having the corporate interest we need to have to run a tour of that scale in Canada. I think this once again shows that if you are serious about professional tournament fishing, you have to do it in the US. If anyone has registered for any of these events, visit wfn.tv/basschampionships/tourinfo.php for refund information. Gary

Hey Gary, I agree with you. I'm not surprised that it now has limited the schedule to just 1 event. With the amount of money it cost just for entry fees alone but it in a class on it's own. The part that I don't understand in all of this is if the CFT Tour couldn't get a full field, how was the WFN Tour going to succeed with such high entry fees. That and the fact that the amateurs were only getting prizes. It's too bad because it would have been nice to see something like that in Canada. Even though I contemplated signing up for this series, spending $9,000 in entry fee money was something that I wasn't prepared to do. It would cost me that same amount of money to fish the Stren series and that is including all of my expenses. Too bad. Pete
