I know this is a bass site but I want to talk about the next best thing to bass and that's Crappie. I don't fish them often enough but when I do, do I ever have a good time doing it. ;D I know it's the 4th of April but really looking forward to getting to boat out and trying for some slabs. I like watching the expression on my daughter's face when she catches them. Just priceless. Any other crappie anglers on here I usually go on the Rideau River for them. Where do you go for your feed of crappie??? Pete

Pete I wouldn't call myself a Crappie angler , but I would like to go for another feed of them. I caught some through the ice this year. Looking forward to getting out in the boat / shore line / lock area. Let me know maybe we could make a family day of it. Think this would be lots of fun, also give us an opportunity to get to know each other and our families. Everyone else on the site come on wakey wakey lets make this a huge family get together. I'll bring the frying pan and everything to cook them with or in. ;D Pete we will forgive you for mentioning something besides BASS. They are related!! Jeremy

Jeremy, That's perfect. I hope to get out to the river on Sunday. ;D As I was driving away from the house this morning I noticed that the end of the bay is completely open. I'll have to go down to the culvert tonight to see if they are biting there. If they are, I'll give you a full report later on. Pete
