Most people fish the senko type bait in various rigs. Wacky, texas rigged, carolina rigged, drop shot rig. I commonly fish it Texas rigged and normally wieghtless. However, if you are fishing the bait in and around lay downs or under cut banks, there is a way to rig your bait so that it will fall back into the cover so that the bait stays in the strike zone longer. When rigging it, I start it the same way as I would a regular texas rig. However the key is to move the bait past the eye of the hook and up the line about 1 inch or 1.5 inches and then embed the hook into the bait. This causes the bait to fall back into cover instead of just a horizontal fall. It will fall more diagonally. It will increase the amount of strikes that you get. Pete

Hi, A technique that I find works well with Senkos, and is somewhat unusual, is to wacky rig it on a jig. Yep, on a regular skirtted jig. This works awesome when the fish need a little something different presented to them, when you're looking to slow the fall of a jig, or when you want to bulk up the jig a bit. I've caught some serious hogs on this puppy. Gary

Hey Gary, You're right, that is an unusual way to rig a stick bait. I will have to keep that in mind for the next time I go out. Pete
