Have you ever fished a lake and for some reason it just won't bite your bait?? You change colour, size, weight and it still doesn't work. Enough to get you frustrated and wondering what else do to? What has worked for me is to dip the tail portion of the bait into some dye. Usually a chartreuse dye works well. I have done it with success on a pumpkin seed lizard with a chartreuse tipped dyed bait and that is all that was needed to turn the fish on. It turned a bad tournament day into a day where I can bring in some fish to the scales. Try it, you never know it just may be the ingredient that you need. Pete
