I'm interested to hear comments too. Pete, remember the George's Marine tournament on Golden Lake last fall? We had to pull our boats up on the sand for the weigh in. Gave me shivers up my back bone - glass on sand Didn't seem to do much harm though. There's some scratching but nothing that I can't buff out.

Hey Marc, Yeah I remember. I was a little worried to That was the biggest reason why I didn't launch the day before and beach the boat for the next morning. However, once it was all said and done there was no damage to the boat. I like that location (hotel and facilities) however, I wouldn't mind to see it on another body of water. Either way, I hope to be attending the event again this year.. Are you going to go again? Pete

I'll be there again for sure - it's fun. That was my seventh time. They did it out of Arnprior two years ago but on Golden Lake all the other years. I'm glad they do that. Very nice of the Georges Marine staff to give up a weekend to put on such a great time for their clients. Golden Lake can be challenging eh? The water is so clear. Takes a while to figure out a pattern there.

I am looking forward to it, we had a good time last year. That was my first time out on that lake. Yes it is clear but I think this year, I'll be fishing it a little different this year. You are right about the staff of George's Marine and Sports taking their own time and put this on. I don't think that there are many marinas that go out that much for their customers. Hats off to Jeff, Debbie and the rest of the staff for this annual event. Pete
