I can't wait the first season is right around the corner! All the practice is about to be put to the test. I've been wandering in the bush for weeks listening and listening today a heard it! That faint gobble gobble that all turkey hunters wait to here it means the spring breeding season is about to start. I watched one turkey already strutting on the edge of a field. He was a good size too figure about 20lbs . Noticed that he had some smaller jakes (5) in the field with him, they were keeping there distance. I waited till they went into the bush and then made my exit. There is a good food source for these birds so I don't think they will leave, unless the hens leave My question to you is this, Who of you are turkey hunters? Who's looking forward to opening day April 25,2005. I'm pumped my hunting arrows at 12yds are in a 1inch group. Thats the distance I like to shoot mine at, last year it was only 6yds when I shoot my arrow. Wanted to really see how good my nerves where and how good my instints as a hunter truly are. I hope I don't offend anybody. If I do, please post me and I will remove this post. This is just another passion of mine and I wanted to share it with you all! Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, I like this post. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to contribute to it Hunting is something that I've always wanted to get into but just never had the chance to. It's not like I don't know how to shoot. For those that know me know that I was taught by 2 of the best shooters. At least in my opinion. My Dad and a fella by the name of Clint Benedict out at the Stittsville shooting ranges. I just never got out do to any hunting. I will say that I do like eating the wild game, no worries about that. You say that your arrows are in a 1 inch group....please tell me you have more than 2 . Again from shooting that is nothing to be ashamed about. I hope that others on here will respond to your post. As for I, all I can say is have fun hunting and be safe. Pete

Pete A Robinhood is when you stick one arrow into another It is rare to do this, I've only done it a couple of times. Thanks for the compliment Jeremy
